Who I Am

Second Draft was born out of two intersecting truths:

I’ve spent my life helping people learn.
And I’m still learning what that means.

For the past 15 years, I’ve worked across universities, startups, and mission-driven organizations helping educators, experts, and institutions rethink how knowledge is structured, delivered, and turned into impact. I’ve led teams, taught courses, designed programs, and built learning systems — all while watching education shift beneath our feet.

But Second Draft isn’t just about education.
It’s about what happens when you’ve already done the work — and you’re ready to make it mean more.

👨‍🏫 Where I’ve Worked

Leading digital strategy, instructional innovation, and AI integration across faculty development and course design.

  • 📚 Adjunct Instructor (2017–Present)
Teaching adult learners across disciplines; focused on online pedagogy, learning systems, and UDL.

  • 🤖 Chief Learning Officer, Pedagogue AI (2023–2025)
Building scalable learning systems at the intersection of AI, automation, and higher education.

  • 🏛 Johns Hopkins Carey Business School
Instructional Teaching Specialist & Supervisor (2016–2018)

  • 🏫 Howard Community College
    Instructional Designer (2014–2024)

  • 📦 COO & VP Roles (2000–2016)
Operations leadership across mission-driven orgs and startups.
Built my foundation in systems, service, and scale.

🎓 What I’ve Studied

I’ve never been one to pick a lane — and my degrees reflect that. Each one shaped how I teach, lead, and build.

  • Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction

  • MBA in Organizational Management

  • M.Div. in Professional Ministries

  • M.A. in Pastoral Counseling

  • B.S. in Business Management

  • A.S. in Business

It’s a strange stack on paper.
But in practice? It’s how I help people bring clarity to complex work — and build from it.

🧭 What I Do Now

Through Second Draft, I:

  • Write weekly essays on education, expertise, and what comes next

  • Speak and lead workshops on the impact of AI, attention, and assessment

  • Help instructional design teams transition from content creators to strategic partners

  • Work with individual experts to turn their existing knowledge into products, clarity, and revenue

If you’ve done the work — and you’re ready to turn the page — this is where your second draft begins.
